The third season of the University Community Farmers Market opened May 16 on the South Campus featuring a variety of new and old vendors and wineries selling fresh food and local products. The farmers market is held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday through Oct. 17, with the exception of July 4, on the Main Street sidewalk at Kenmore Avenue. Attendees can park for free in the Allen, Main and Bailey parking lots on the South Campus, directly behind the market. The market is one of many programs UB coordinates in the neighborhood and is part of the university’s efforts to strengthen its ties to the residents around its three campuses. Other initiatives include UB on the Green, a free outdoor performance series and neighborhood clean ups.
